Odds Tour De France Stage 14 Average ratng: 4,5/5 2786 votes
Following an uneventful opening the route begins to rise in false flat fashion at kilometre 40. Still nothing special though – that is, if you just look at the course. Obviously, the battle to be part of the breakaway will be intens and fun to watch.
Halfway through the race, the extended false flat turns into a 2.3 kilometres climb at 6.2%. The route continues to rise gently after the Côte de La Rochette-du-Buis until the Col de Mévouillon is crested at kilometre 110.5.
Let’s assume the breakaway is a fact by now. Possibly with some riders to make it across – either failing or succeeding, it doesn’t really have impact on how the race unfolds. Predominantly flat roads lead to the Col de la Sentinelle, which is a 5.2 kilometres climb at 5.4%. Topping out at just under 1,000 metres, the pass is crested with 8.5 kilometres remaining. The attackers plunge down to the flamme rouge, while the last kilometre is played out on the flat.
Tour de France Odds, 2021 Tour de France Stage Lines Cycling Betting There are currently no lines available for this sport. Either there are no odds open to bet on, or the sport is not in season at this time. Oddsmakers still favor Roglic to win the 2020 Tour de France at -286 odds. Tadej Pogacar, second place in the GC, is now 4/1 odds to win Le Tour, followed by Bernal at 7/1. For complete Tour de France coverage, check out OG’s dedicated page for all cycling betting and news.
As sprinters have no chance on this course and GC riders will want to save energy for the deciding mountain stages ahead of them, the breakaway is likely to arrive with a firm lead at the foot of La Sentinelle. Doubtless, the best climbers are going to bombard each other with attacks until the strongest persevere, while superior descenders could give it a shot in the descent.

TOUR DE FRANCE STAGE 20 BETTING PREVIEW
The time trial starts with 30km of flat to gently rolling terrain nut the real test is the final 6.2km as the riders are required to climb the Planche des Belles Filles. It is not the steepest of the mountains but it has a 8.5% average gradient and a 20% section towards the finish line.
The winner of this stage will be a General Classification contender looking to put time into rivals, or a Time-Trial specialists.
Our Stage 20 Favorites
A clash between team-mates
Primoz Roglic and
Tom Dumoulin should be on the cards. The Slovenian is a better climber than Dumoulin, but the Dutchman has superior time-trial skills than the current yellow jerse.
Tadej Pogacar is also good both at time-trial and climbing but, of course, the UAE captain is not a specialist like Dumoulin although he was very impressive in the Slovenian National Championship.
Astana's
Miguel Angel Lopez just 30 seconds back of second-place Pogacar. He should loss time in the first 30 km and the final ascent could not be enough to recover all the gap.
Mikel Landa and
Enric Mas will try to overtake Trek-Segafredo’s
Richie Porte as these three riders sit in the 4-6 positions and are separated by 1'13'. He clocked in at 9th in last years Tour De France TT, about 10 seconds slower than Porte. The Aussie looks more suited for this stage than his closest rivals.
Long-shots to back?
Richard Carapaz is another rider in the mix to watch because there are a maximum of 10 KoM points atop the climb. Anyway, we expect the INEOS-Grenadiers’s rider to save energies in the first 30km and go full gas only in the final 6 kilometers as times for KoM points are determined only by the times to climb the Planche des Belles Filles.
Wout Van Aert can't be underestimated as he may be the best person to give Roglic instructions after finishing his race.
We also expect a great performance by Michael Kwiatkowski while Pello Bilbao, Soren Kragh Andersen, Thomas De Gendt, Maximilian Schachmann, Jan Polanc and Hugh Carthy are the probable long-shots.
This is Thibaut Pinot’s local climb but the Frenchman is not a time-triallist and his form is absolutely poor this year. His fellow countryman Julian Alaphilippe could finish in the Top 10 but we can't see him beating the favorites.
Marc Hirschi and Sepp Kuss are in great conditions and could surprisingly finish in the top 10.STAGE PROFILE
